Wawanesa Website Refresh
Brand and accessibility improvements
About the Project
The US Wawanesa Insurance website was in need of a refresh as the html and underlying code was showing it's age. Before any coding could be done I worked with the project stakeholders to run a design session with the UX team. This session had three members of the team redesign the website from initial concept to final approval.
With a revitalized look and feel approved, we worked with the CMS to implement new more performant and semantic HTML. In addition The team worked with stakeholders to review the website content and establish a new more focused wesite content structure. This structure was used by the writers and internal teams to generate new page content. The new html, content and site structure saw significant SEO improvements. Finally, WCAG accessibility was incorporated into the rebuild ensuring the website was available to all audiences.
